Question:
"I'm working VAG PCR 2.1 ECU in OBD (not in BSL) with #pcmtuner.
Everything is fine, but the car won't start. What's the solution?"
Solution:
1). If the ECU has already been unlocked or you have unlocked in BSL then it must be a file issue. Contact your file provider. Check DTC codes to help diagnose your problem. If you write a file without unlocking in BSL, use ODIS to write the original file to the ECU.
mpps v18 can simply rewrite the original file and the car works again.
But if you don't have the original file, the quickest solution is to use odis.
How is it possible to write via obd with PCM Tuner if the ecu is not unlocked first?
If it's locked, it still needs to be unlocked in bsl.
It still won't work writing the original file back via obd the car still won't start the only hope and chance you have now is to shut down the ecu, plug it into the bank in boot mode and hope it still works let you do a BSL unlock in the bank and if successful, it allows you to unlock it in the bank.
Also try reflashing it and reading and writing while it is still plugged into the bank in boot mode which is your only hope to recover this ecu now and start the car again.
PCR2.1 ECU must first be unlocked in BSL to use obd.
This ECU requires unlocking in BSL mode.
First you have unlock on the bdm solder resistor.
470ohm resistor, 1Kohm resistor, cfg, boot, power and unlock.

You can also write pcr2.1 by obd in the bank with godiag tricore adapter
